Description
This Wood Stork (Mycteria americana) has been hanging around the pond lately. Sometimes it flies away when I walk out there with my chair. Sometimes it doesn't. This time it did. It is a very interesting feeder. It uses its foot to stir up the dirt in the sand and if it fluffs out some food, the stork gets it. It also uses its wing to shade its eyes so it can see beneath the water.
